This experience has given me a unique perspective, as I understand both sides of the industry and know what truly matters to our clients.
Q2: What initially attracted you to the foodservice industry, and how has your passion for this field grown over time?
Monique: When I was a high school student looking for part-time work, I found a flexible job in the foodservice industry to make some extra cash. Monique: My time at Avondale was a learning experience filled with valuable insights. One aspect that stood out to me the most was understanding the importance of matching the right equipment with the clients’ specific needs. I gained knowledge about various types of foodservice equipment, from cooking equipment like ranges, hoods, and fryers to innovative tools like combi ovens and rapid cook ovens. What intrigued me the most was the comprehensive approach we took to serve clients, providing everything from exhaust hoods to cutlery for their tables. The ability to outfit an entire restaurant from front to back was both fascinating and rewarding.
